Hi everyone! I got a new comic to share, and this one is a bit of a special one! For this comic, I ended up using primarily Krita in my workflow, for all the illustrations at least. I still needed to use CSP to finish off the text. I can say with confidence that I’ll be able to use Krita effectively for my comics, barring that the revamped text tool gets released in the upcoming version of Krita. It has me excited, but also a little bit bittersweet, as it would also mark the end of a long journey that I’ve had with Clip Studio Paint/Manga Studio 5. I’ve been using CSP/MS5 since 2013, so it’s been a solid staple in my creative workflow.
In this comic, Yogurt is lining herself up along the lane as she prepares to kick herself off. She draws her breath and eyes the end of lane, once again preparing her body to swim across the body of water. She kicks! The water pushes back with such force, slowing her down immensely. It slowed her down enough to make her stop in her strides and look back. She used to be able to kick off a lot further from the wall when she was younger. I wonder what has changed since.
